The Vertex is a bold, geometric masterpiece. It is a rugged, 142mm long fountain pen with a unique, magnetic, post-able cap.

The wood featured in this pen is jacaranda timber. Jacaranda is a popular tree that is eye catching in spring throughout Australia with the tree ablaze with bright purple flowers. The timber is pale and creamy with a faint timber grain visible. It is not an Australian native tree but grows plentifully and is especially well known in the Grafton NSW region as well as Brisbane. Brisbane City Botanic Gardens is the site of Australia’s first grown jacaranda tree (planted in 1864). It was made famous by the artwork ‘Under the Jacaranda’ painted in1903. The first jacaranda remained tall and beautiful in the botanic gardens until 1979 when it was blown over in a cyclone. This jacaranda timber is from Redcliffe, QLD. 

The natural uniqueness in the woodgrain and timber colour variations, means that each wooden pen we create is one of a kind.The faceted chrome fittings contrast perfectly with the sleek handcrafted timber body and the tough stainless steel tip and premium iridium nib. It takes international standard ink cartridges and comes with one black sample ink cartridge. It also features an environmentally friendly piston converter that allows you to refill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

This is an artisan handcrafted pen meticulously finished with 10 coats of CA for durability and is presented in a quality, black pen box.

Can we personalise your timber pen? Yes, you can choose up to 25 letters and spaces. Please type the exact engraving plus a font suggestion in the text box and specify if the pen engraving is for a left or right hander.
