The Frankie features a modern gold plated design with a post-able faceted end cap in black. This well balanced pen has a German iridium nib for precision writing and uses easily replaceable international standard ink cartridges and comes with one black sample ink cartridge. It features an environmentally friendly piston converter that allows you to refill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

This fountain pen is created from pen is Australian red cedar timber with a story. This red cedar timber used to be a dressing table. It was made in the 1940’s for Iris by her carpenter brother and spent many decades holding hairbrushes, mirrors and embroidered handkerchiefs. When Iris passed away, the dresser was inherited by her daughter, Gail. Gail didn't have room in her home for the old but still lovely dressing table, but wanted to preserve her family heritage so she had pens made from the vintage red cedar timber for herself and her three children (Iris’s grandchildren).

Every pen is handcrafted by Brisbane wood artisans who hand turn each pen on a lathe in North Brisbane. Using a meticulous thirteen step sanding and polishing process we highlight the unique beauty of the azure blue and ruby red acrylic.
