Wooden Gearshift Pen - Eucalyptus Timber (Chrome Fittings)

The Gearshift pen range is bold and classy. The mechanism features a five-speed H pattern shifter and can be shifted just like the real thing! The cap features a car tyre with a true to life tread and hubcap. The pen tip features the same tyre tread as the cap. The shifter handle includes an etched five-speed pattern. The final touch is an industrialised crowbar clip attached to the gearshift pen body with two small screws. The quality metal fittings are a striking contrast with the individually handcrafted timber pen body. This pen has classy chrome fittings.

Every wooden pen is created by an artisan who turns each pen on a wood lathe in North Brisbane. Using a meticulous thirteen step sanding and polishing process and 10 coats of CA we highlight the simple, innate beauty of the timber and create an exceptional, super glossy and durable finish.

This Gearshift pen is made from eucalyptus timber. Nothing says iconic Australia like a gum tree. Australia is covered by 92,000,000 hectares of eucalypt forest comprising more than 700 species. Eucalyptus timber is commonly used to make didgeridoos, the traditional wind instrument of indigenous Australians. Eucalyptus is a valuable timber, and is eucalypts are highly regarded for pulpwood, honey production, dye making and essential oils. Some eucalypt species are used for attractive wooden flooring. Eucalypts are important koala food. The eucalyptus timber in this pen is an unidentified species of eucalyptus. The natural uniqueness in the woodgrain and timber colour variations, means that each wooden pen we create is one of a kind.

This pen uses easily replaceable Parker style refills. It comes with a premium black ink Parker style pen refill. You can purchase a quality Parker refill below.
