Wooden Pen - Gidgee Timber (Stratus Style)

The Stratus pen has a sleek and modern design with great balance for a superior and comfortable writing experience. It features quality chrome fittings which provide a stunning contrast to the 7cm timber pen body. 

The smooth action click mechanism is super quiet, it holds a Parker style refill and comes loaded with a quality black Parker style refill. You can purchase additional Parker style pen refills below. 

Each Stratus pen is created by an artisan who hand turns each pen on a wood lathe in North Brisbane. Using a meticulous thirteen step sanding and polishing process and 10 coats of CA we highlight the simple, innate beauty of the timber and create an exceptional, super glossy and durable finish.

This Stratus pen features gidgee timber. Australian gidgee wood is an acacia timber prized for its strength and durability. Gidgee is one of Australia's hardest timbers. The heartwood is a deep, rich brown colour and the outer sapwood is very pale. Gidgee timber has a very fine grain and can be highly figured. The indigenous Kalkadoon people made nulla nulla's, shields, boomerangs, swords and clapsticks from gidgee’s rich, brown wood. It is popular today for knife making, turned bowls, pens and jewellery boxes and recently musical instrument makers have begun using it.

This pen comes in a protective velvet sleeve. You can add a quality black presentation box, or engrave-able timber box below.

Please let us know if the pencengraving is for a left or right hander. We will contact you to confirm your engraving prior to it being laser engraved.
