Wooden Rollerball Pen - Jacaranda Timber (Classic Style)

This timber rollerball pen is created from jacaranda timber. Jacaranda is a popular tree that is eye catching in spring throughout Australia with the tree ablaze with bright purple flowers. The timber is pale and creamy with a faint timber grain visible. It is not an Australian native tree but grows plentifully and is especially well known in the Grafton NSW region as well as Brisbane. Brisbane City Botanic Gardens is the site of Australia’s first grown jacaranda tree (planted in 1864). It was made famous by the artwork ‘Under the Jacaranda’ painted in1903. The first jacaranda remained tall and beautiful in the botanic gardens until 1979 when it was blown over in a cyclone.

This classic style rollerball is created by an artisan who hand turns each pen on a lathe in North Brisbane. Using a meticulous thirteen step sanding and polishing process and 10 coats of CA we highlight the simple, innate beauty of the jacaranda timber. 

This elegant rollerball features 24 kt gold plating and a tough iridium nib made in Germany. It has a threaded lid that can be effortlessly placed on the end of the pen so it is never misplaced. The pen comes in a quality, black presentation case, but if you would prefer an engrave-able timber pen box, please contact us for options.

This beautiful pen uses easily replaceable, rollerball refills and comes with a premium german black ink refill.
