The Vertex pen is a bold, geometric masterpiece. It is a rugged, 142mm long rollerball with a unique, magnetic, post-able cap.
The wood featured in this pen is burdekin plum timber. The Burdekin plum is a native fruit tree which grows in North Queensland. The fruit is large, red-purple to black and contains a large stone, similar to plums. They may be eaten raw, as jam, or turned into wine, but are often tart. The indigenous Australians used to bury the fruits to allow them to ripen and sweeten. Burdekin plum timber is very decorative. It ranges from pale to dark reddish-brown, and is usually streaked with attractive darker coloured bands. The timber has historically been used for the manufacture of musical conductor’s batons and smoking pipes. The natural uniqueness in the woodgrain and timber colour variations, means that each wooden pen we create is one of a kind.
The faceted chrome fittings contrast perfectly with the sleek handcrafted timber body and the tough stainless steel tip which boasts a 0.6mm German ceramic rollerball. The Vertex comes loaded with one quality black Schmidt rollerball refill.
This is an artisan handcrafted pen meticulously finished with 10 coats of CA for a durability and is presented in a quality, black pen box.
