Our natural finish is a call back to simplicity and a reminder of the tranquility and beauty of nature. We individually shape and sand the body of each timber pen until it is silky smooth and then friction polish it at high speed on the wood lathe. The wooden pen takes on a glorious natural patina and reveals a texture that is warm and grounding. 

The timeless, sleek design of the Slimline is unsurpassable. It rests lightly in the hand and writes beautifully. It has gold fittings and features a high quality, smooth, twist mechanism and comes loaded with a quality black cross style refill.

This pen is created from gidgee timber. Australian gidgee is prized for its strength and durability and is one of Australia's hardest timbers. The heartwood is a deep, rich brown colour and the outer sapwood is very pale. Gidgee timber has a very fine grain and can be highly figured. The indigenous Kalkadoon people made nulla nulla's, shields, boomerangs, swords and clapsticks from gidgee’s rich, brown wood. It is popular today for knife making, turned bowls, pens, jewellery boxes and musical instruments.

This Slimline pen comes standard in a protective velvet pen sleeve. You can add a quality black presentation box or an engrave-able timber pen box below.
