This is a pen with a story. This pen was made from some silky oak timber salvaged from Steve’s house when he renovated. The timber formed part of the main entry to the family house and everyone who entered the home passed under this piece of wood. It has heard several generations of stories and laughter and has had to endure many Dad jokes. Silky oak is one of Australia's most popular native timbers because of it’s highly figured and very distinctive grain. Silky oak boasts a light to medium reddish brown timber tone.

This wooden pen is created by an artisan who hand turns each pen on a wood lathe in North Brisbane. Using a meticulous thirteen step sanding and polishing process and 10 coats of CA we highlight the simple, innate beauty of the silky oak timber and create an exceptional and durable finish.

This Sierra pen has gold fittings and features a smooth click mechanism which reveals the nib. It has black ink and takes a standard Parker style pen refill.  Find our quality parker style pen refills here. The natural uniqueness in the woodgrain and timber colour variations, means that each wooden pen we create is one of a kind.

This pen comes standard in a protective velvet pen sleeve. You can purchase a quality black pen box or engrave-able timber box below.
