The Frankie features a modern gold plated design with a post-able faceted end cap in black. This well balanced pen has a German iridium nib for precision writing and uses easily replaceable international standard ink cartridges and comes with one black sample ink cartridge. It features an environmentally friendly piston converter that allows you to refill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

This fountain pen is created from Burdekin plum timber. Burdekin plum is a native fruit tree which grows in North Queensland. The fruit is large, red-purple to black and contains a large stone, similar to plums. They may be eaten raw, as jams, or turned into wine, but are often tart. The aboriginals used to bury the fruits to allow them to ripen and sweeten. Burdekin plum timber is very decorative. It ranges from pale to dark reddish-brown, and is usually streaked with attractive darker coloured bands. The timber has historically been used for the manufacture of musical conductor’s batons and smoking pipes. 

Every pen is unique and handcrafted by Brisbane wood artisans. We take raw timber through a meticulous 10 step process finishing with 12 coats of CA to highlight the innate beauty of the timber and create an exceptional, super glossy and durable finish.
