The Frankie features a modern gold plated design with a post-able faceted end cap in black. This well balanced pen has a German iridium nib for precision writing and uses easily replaceable international standard ink cartridges and comes with one black sample ink cartridge. It features an environmentally friendly piston converter that allows you to refill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

This fountain pen is created from silky oak timber. Silky oak is one of the most popular ornamental native trees in Australia with it’s stunning vibrant orange, toothbrush like flowers. Silky oak timber was once used extensively in North Queensland for house framing, cladding, moulding, joinery, windows and flooring. There is much vintage furniture displaying silky oak's coarse, variable, decorative and textured grain within the wood. Silky oak is a light to medium reddish brown timber, it is highly figured, with distinctive grain and large medullary rays. It has long been a favourite of furniture makers, wood turners and carvers.

Every pen is handcrafted by Brisbane wood artisans who hand turns each pen on a lathe in North Brisbane. Using a meticulous thirteen step sanding and polishing process we highlight the unique beauty of the azure blue and ruby red acrylic.
