Hairy oak is a striking and popular reddish brown warm coloured Australian timber. It is heavily striated with thick visible brown striations and knots. It is named hairy oak for it's unusually thick, wiry, hairy bark.

This wooden pen and pencil set is created by an artisan who hand turns each item on a wood lathe in North Brisbane. Using a meticulous thirteen step sanding and polishing process and 10 coats of CA we highlight the simple, innate beauty of the hairy oak timber and create an exceptional and durable finish. The natural uniqueness in the woodgrain and timber colour variations, means that each wooden pen and pencil we create is one of a kind.

This Sierra pen has gold fittings and features a smooth click mechanism which reveals the nib. It has black ink and takes a standard Parker style pen refill. You can purchase additional quality Parker style pen refills below.

This Sierra mechanical pencil has black and 24 karat gold plated fittings and features a click mechanism which reveals the pencil lead. It comes ready to draw with one 0.7mm pencil lead, you can find mechanical pencil refills below. It has an eraser at the end of the cap. To access the eraser, remove the end cap; to access the pencil lead chamber and add your refills, remove the eraser.
