Sierra Wooden Pen - Camphor Laurel Timber

The Sierra is our signature range, a definitive, functional and popular writing instrument.

This Sierra is turned from camphor laurel timber. Though not native to Australia, camphor laurel trees grow so readily here that in some parts of NSW it is considered a noxious weed. Camphor laurel is easily identified by the pungent camphor odour arising from crushed leaves or exposed wood. Camphor laurel timber is a beautiful, rich honey-coloured timber, often found with streaks of reds and browns.

This distinctive wooden pen is created by an artisan who hand turns each pen on a wood lathe in North Brisbane. Using a meticulous thirteen step sanding and polishing process and 10 coats of CA we highlight the simple, innate beauty of the colourful camphor laurel timber. Our finish is highly durable, smooth and glossy. The natural uniqueness in the woodgrain and timber colour variations, means that each wooden pen we create is one of a kind.

This Sierra has black and 24k gold plated fittings and features a smooth click mechanism which reveals the nib. It comes with a quality black ink refill and takes a standard Parker style pen refill.  Find our quality Parker style refills here.  

This pen comes standard in a protective velvet pen sleeve or you can choose a black presentation box or an engrave-able timber pen box below.
